Position Overview

The purpose of the Project Manager/Radiation Safety Officer, Pipeline Integrity is to lead and execute new pipeline projects along with managing the Radiation Safety Program for the local office, and performing business development duties to grow the department. This position is responsible for taking a leadership role in the projects assigned including reporting, resolving, and escalating issues as they arise.

The main duties include:

  • Perform billable NDT and inspection work including but not limited to RT, RTR, and other inspection methods.
  • Work with the management team to identify new clients and work opportunities for the department; present to new and existing clients Aegeus solutions to secure work.
  • Determine operational requirements including resources needed, training required, project scope and schedule; define and establish operational priorities; and establish financial objectives for projects.
  • Be the designated Rocky Region Radiation Safety Officer for Frederick, CO, including compliance with all Aegeus, federal, and state requirements for Radiation Safety. Work together with the Corporate RSO to ensure a compliant program for the region.
  • Recruit and develop new employees to expand the department as needed for upcoming secured projects. 
  • Assist with development of the new state of the art RTR crawler research and solutions to replace current systems.

*The Pay Range for this position is USD $60-65/hr. Pay range for this job level is a general guideline only for States that enforces pay transparency and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Education and Work Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Requires five plus (5+) years of project management experience or NDT supervisory experience.
  • Background in handling inspections related to:
    • Area of expertise: Pipelines Integrity
  • Two year experience in inspection related activities (QC, NDT, etc.).
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Certificates and Licenses Required

  • Certification as an Inspector required in most cases (or equivalent approved by client).  Extensive practical experience required.
  • Must have the ability to meet the following company certification standards: RT Lvl 2 certification
  • Must meet minimum company requirements to operate a company vehicle and be eligible for coverage under Company insurance program.
