Position Overview

This role is a hands-on field leadership position responsible for executing pipeline integrity NDT and inspection services while building and developing the department for long-term success.  The Pipeline Integrity Operations Lead will serve as a key liaison between AIS and our clients, coordinating project needs, overseeing documentation and submittals, mentoring and training the next generation of technicians, and preparing personnel for Operator Qualification training and testing.  This position plays a critical role in maintaining AIS’s reputation for technical excellence, safety, and client trust. 

 

The main duties include:

  • Lead and perform pipeline integrity field assessments in accordance with client-specific requirements, applicable codes, and AIS procedures, utilizing methos such as UT, MT, PAUT, Creaform 3D scanning, corrosion mapping, and other related NDT technologies.
  • Evaluate pipeline anomalies including, but not limited to, corrosion (internal and external), cracking, dents, deformations, coating assessments, long seam characterizations/inspection, and other integrity related conditions.
  • Serve as the primary technical and operations point of contact between AIS and clients for pipeline integrity projects, coordinating scope, schedules, personnel, equipment, and deliverables.
  • Ensure all inspection activities meet or exceed client expectations for quality, safety, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
  • Review, prepare, and submit complete, accurate, and timely inspection reports, data packages, photographs, and supporting documentation in accordance with client and regulatory requirements.

Pay range for this job is $50 to $60 USD hours.  Pay range for this job level is a general guideline only for States that enforces pay transparency and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, certifications, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.

Education and Work Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
    Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent from an accredited university or college highly desirable.
  • Technical Background in NDT methods and techniques preferred.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of NDT experience with full documentation of prior training, experience and certification is required.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Certificates and Licenses Required

  • NDT Level II certification in: UT, MT, PT or PAUT
  • Must meet minimum company requirements to operate a company vehicle and be eligible for coverage under Company insurance program.
